About

My name is Rachel King. I am 20 years old. I aspire to have a positive impact on each and every person that I meet.

I am an English and Sport Science student at Loughborough University, currently on placement until July 2017 with the incredible charity that is City Year (www.cityyear.org.uk)

Sport has always played a massive part in my life and is central to my plans for change in the future.

I am a past swimmer and netball player but have been claimed by Rugby since my first year of University. I currently play for Lichfield ladies and will continue to play for Loughborough Uni when I return for my final year.

I love to spend my time working with young people and have been volunteering as a mentor for over a year now with the Youth Offending Service and TwentyTwenty, a fantastic Loughborough based charity (www.twentytwenty.org.uk).

When I am not working with young people or playing rugby I can be found on night shifts as a security guard, learning as part of the Uprising Leadership Programme or organising my thoughts / life in my bullet journal!

I have many plans and goals for the future and I am looking forward to sharing my journey!
